As teased, Xiaomi has launched the all-new Mi Notebook Air in China today. The new Mi Notebook Air comes with a screen size of 12.5-inch and brings much-improved hardware when compared to the previous generation Mi Notebook Air. One of the key highlights of the 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air is its light weight and its form factor. The new Mi Notebook Air is lighter than even Apple MacBook Air.
Xiaomi has launched two variants of the Mi Notebook Air. The base model is powered by Intel’s 8th generation M3, while the top-end model comes with i5 processor. Both the models come with a 12.5-inch screen. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Notebook Air is capable of delivering much-improved performance compared to the Mi Notebook Air launched last year and the year before. The Mi Notebook Air is launched for a starting price of 3,599 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 37,000 approx.
The Mi Notebook Air 12.5 with M3 processor comes packed with 128GB storage and 4GB of RAM and it is priced at 3,599 Yuan (approx Rs 37,000). The M3 processor model also has a 256GB storage and 4 GB of RAM model. This model comes for 3,999 Yuan (approx Rs 41,000). The i5 processor model of the Mi Notebook Air with 256GB of storage and 4GB of RAM comes with a price tag of 4,299 Yuan (approx Rs 44,000).
As for the availability the new Notebook is now available on pre-orders in China. There’s no report whether the Mi Notebook will come to India or not. Possibly it will not, considering the previous generation Mi Notebooks weren’t launched in India. In China, the new Mi Notebook will go on sale on March 28.
The Xiaomi 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air sports a thin form factor and weighs 1.07kg – which means the Notebook is much lighter than MacBook Air. The new Mi Notebook Air packs a full metallic body with minimalist design. The laptop comes in two colour variants gold and silver and overall the device looks extremely polished and sleek.
As far as the specs are concerned, the new 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Notebook includes slim bezels on the sides and comes bundled with a full-size backlit keyboard. It also sports Harman full-range speaker that comes coupled with professional DTS surround sound technology. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Notebook Air offers extended battery backup. The company says that the Notebook can charge from 0 to 50 per cent in just 35 minutes of charge.
